HP OfficeJet 7610 Printer Quick Start Guide
Install the HP OfficeJet 7610 printer software with the help of software installation CD that comes along with your printer. If your computer does not have a CD drive, download the printer software and driver from the website https://support.hp.com
In the Search all support box, type your printer’s model number and click the search icon. Go to the downloads page and click Download. Double click the file with the extension .exe.
The user guide or the Help will be copied along with your software on the computer while installing the HP printer software. You will have regulatory, environmental, support, specifications, notices, troubleshooting information and usage on the user guide. Follow any one of the below given method to view the Help in your computer based on your operating system.
In Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7, you have to click StartàPrograms or All Programs->HP and select the HP printer folder. The folder will have the Help, select Help to view the guide.
In Windows 8, right-click an empty area on the screen on the Start screen. Click All Apps on the app bar, click the icon with the printer’s name, and then select Help.
In Mac OS X v10.6, from the Help menu, select Mac Help. click and hold the Home button, and then choose the Help for your device in the Help viewer.
In OS X Lion and OS X Mountain Lion, from the Help menu, choose Help Center . Click Help for all your apps and click the Help for your device.
The Read me file has information of the printer like system information and updated information about setting up and using the printer. This file is available on the HP printer software. Follow the below instructions to view your Read me file in a computer system with Windows or any other operating system.
In Windows, you have to insert the CD in your computer and double-click the file named Readme.chm. you can choose your language by clicking the language option
In OS X, open the Read Me folder by inserting the CD in your computer. Click the Readme button for your language.
Wireless network connection
Using control panel
With the help of control panel, connect the printer to the wireless network. Touch the wireless icon on the Home screen and touch SettingsàWireless Setup Wizard and follow the instructions that appear online.
You can also print without using a wireless router by using the HP wireless direct printing. Print wirelessly from a computer, smartphone, tablet or other wireless-capable-device-without connecting to an existing wireless network.
If you have problems in your wireless network, follow the below given steps to resolve it.
- Check whether the wireless light on the printer control panel is turned on. If it is not turned on, touch the wireless icon to turn on. Your printer is not connected if the wireless light is blinking. Connect the printer wirelessly using the printer software.
- Check whether the computer is connected to the wireless network. If the computer is not connected, contact the network or router manufacturer
- Print the wireless test report to check the condition of wireless connection. Turn on the printer and load the paper into the tray. Touch Wireless icon on the Home screen and touch Settings.
- Touch print the wireless test report. Review the report information if the test fails. Run the test again.
- Turn off the printer and router. Wait for a few minutes and turn it on.
Ink cartridge information
You should use the SETUP CARTRIDGE provided with the printer when you are prompted to install the ink cartridges during the printer setup.
Ink from ink cartridges is used in the printing process in a number of different ways, including in the initialization process, which prepares the printer and ink cartridges for printing, and in print head servicing, that keeps print nozzles clear and ink flowing smoothly. Anonymous usage information storage
The printer contains a memory chip to assist the printer operation and a limited set of anonymous information about the printer usage is stored. This information is stored to improve future HP printers.
