HP DeskJet 3631 Printer Troubleshooting

- User manual
Get the user manual for your printer to know about the usage and troubleshooting information for your HP DeskJet 3631 printer.
The user guide is available in the printer software installation CD. You can also download it from the hp.support.com and enter the printer model number on the search box. Click the user guide to get the user manual. You can also choose the language accordingly.
- Firmware update
Visit the site hp.suppot.com/support, from the list, select a printer and click Drivers. Select your device’s operating system and click Next button. Select the Firmware and click Download.
- Error code message
If you see the error code Er/o1 and the attention light is blinking, take an action of loading the paper into input tray. You can load 150 sheets of paper into the input tray.

- Wired connection
Make sure that the printer is connected to the correct network port using the cable, the lights next to the network port are lit and the printer drivers are installed and test the network connection.
In windows, click Start and Run. Type cmd and press Enter. Type ping, type space and type the printer IP address and press Enter. See “find the printer IP address” to know your printer’s IP address.
In OS X, type the IP address in the ping pane after opening the network utility and press Enter. See “find the printer IP address” to know your printer’s IP address.
- Wireless connection
Check whether the USB cable is disabled as the printer will not connect to the wireless network if a network cable is connected. Check whether your printer and router are switched on and are ready. Make sure the wireless switch is also turned on.
Keep the printer within the range of the wireless network that is the printer must be within 30 m of the wireless access point. Check whether the print driver is installed on the computer. Connect the printer on the same wireless network as the computer. If you are using Mac operating system, make sure that the wireless router supports Bonjour. Restart the wireless router.
